The OCF is canceled.
The coronavirus epidemic forces us to cancel the OCF 2020.
Due to the coronavirus epidemic, we are sorry to announce that the Open Canoe Festival 2020 (scheduled from April 30 to May 3) has been canceled.
As previously announced on our website, we will refund each registration.
Only a deduction of € 4 per registration payment will be retained (note: by registration payment and not per person).
These costs will allow us to limit the important financial damage of this cancellation.
Concretely: a person has registered as a participant (90 €): we refund 90-4 = 86 €.
10 people registered at the same time as participants: we reimburse 900-4 = € 896.
Refunds will be made within 2 weeks.
Significant expenses having already been done during the last 6 months of preparation, we do not know how the OCF will stand the this cancellation.
We thank you for your interest in our beautiful Festival. We hope to be able to celebrate its 10th anniversary in 2021 as it deserves.
Big thanks to all the sponsors who trusted us this year and whom we hope to see again next year: Tentipi, Esquif, Canoë Diffusion, Venture Canoes, Palm, the department of Drôme, the Auvergne Rhône Alpes region, the municipality of Mirabel et Blacons, the Community of Communes of Crestois and Pays de Saillans, Intermarché and of course Gervanne Camping which has been hosting us for 10 years.
Thanks to Martin Trahan, patron of this edition, who was to come from Quebec to celebrate this 10th anniversary.
Thank you to all the instructors for the time spent preparing the workshop program with Julien Gontard, workshop manager.
Thank you to the numerous exhibitors who had already registered.
To the Green Ducks band and the cuisine team: see you next year!
Good luck to everyone to face this difficult time, take care of yourself and see you soon on the Drôme.
Paul Villecourt, organizer of the Open Canoe Festival.
